vikram,shriya kanthaswamy

Kalaipuli S Thanu has spent more than Rs.60 Crores for ‘Kanthaswamy’! When asked about the huge funds spent on the movie, “It would have been incorrect if I had not spent this much on a super hero subject like Kanthaswamy”, justifies director Susi Ganesan.

Last week before he left for Ooty for Mani Ratnam’s Raavan shoot, he saw the film.

Vikram says: “ Kanthaswamy is one of the most stylish films ever made in Tamil, it is class at the same time very mass and racy. The film is fun with lots of entertainment, yet has a serious message to convey.”

The songs of the film tuned by Devi Sri Prasad are topping the charts. Says Vikram: “ The songs are chic with oodles of oomph and glamour. Devi’s music and background score is awesome. Shriya is gorgeous.”

‘Kanthaswamy’ to lead the way

shriya,Vikram’s ‘Kanthaswamy’ movie stills
Vikram’sKanthaswamy’, the shooting for which is complete, is all set for a grand audio launch next month. Producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu, known for his flamboyant ways, had a glitzy audio launch with over 30 guests during the audio launch of his previous film, ‘Sakkarakatti’. This time, if sources are to be believed, the audio launch of the Vikram - Shriya starrer will be novel than grand. The film, directed by Susi Ganesan, centres on a social theme and two villages were being adopted by the movie’s crew to check if adoption of villages was really viable.

It is said that this also forms the crux of the movie and the filmmakers did not want to be preachy and suggest what wasn’t viable in reality. As it has turned out to be a successful operation, it is said that 30 celebrities from Kollywood will adopt a village each during the audio launch of ‘Kanthaswamy’, which has music by Devi Sri Prasad. If this turns out to be true, ‘Kanthaswamy’ is sure to inspire more people to take up a noble cause as this and Thanu might soon be termed trendsetter for a new reason.

The story of Endhiran is very similar to Anniyan

Remember director Shankar’s previous film ‘Anniyan’, in which Vikram ’s character of Ambi transforms to Remo just to win his childhood love, Gayathri’s (played by Sadha) affection? If reports are to be believed, it is a very similar premise upon which the Robot Rajini is created in ‘Endhiran’. Rajini plays a scientist cum professor in a college and is smitten by Aishwarya Rai. But the actress does not reciprocate and this is when Rajini receives an offer to make a robot.

The professor uses this chance to create a robot which is his look alike and makes it modern for Ash to like. Scenes in the film, which show the robot Rajini buying modern clothes in City Centre or styling its hair in a posh salon in Adyar are said to be thorough complete laugh riots, also similar to Rajini dabbing Fair and Lovely or doing face packs to look fair in ‘Sivaji’-The Boss’. ‘Endhiran’, produced by Sun Network, is director Shankar’s second film each with Rajini and Aishwarya Rai . Raju Sundaram has choreographed for professor Rajini for a song while Lawrence has choreographed for the Robot Rajini. Grapevine also has it that Shankar might seek the help of renowned Indian Hollywood filmmaker, Manoj Night Shyamalan, in making this film.

A Sepration between Kanthaswamy director and Vikram

vikram’s Kanthaswamy
Refuting all reports that Kanthaswamy is getting delayed because of a rift between Vikram and him, director Susi Ganesan said that these are just baseless rumors. Gossipmongers also have it that Susi Ganesan had a rift with the producers too. The director speaking , lambasted those who has made those statements to the media, as those who have nothing better to do than to spread rumors. On the delay of Kanthaswamy, the director said that Vikram will be appearing as a female in the film and hence his make up and costume selection requires a lot of time. This is one of the reasons for the delay, he added. Susi Ganesan mentioned that wherever the team went for shooting, the place experienced heavy rainfall. This is true from their shooting in Mexico to the villages in Tamil Nadu. He said that this is a good indicator that the film will become a runaway success. Kanthaswamy’s computer graphics work may take another three months to be completed. He signed off saying that in all probability the film will hit the screens on April 14th.

Vikram with sexy Mumaith Khan

Vikram-starrer Kanthaswamy is taking a long time to complete and yet it always pops up in the news for different reasons. A while ago, a song sequence shot in Mexico has attracted a lot of interest in the film. In this song based on the famous bullfights of Mexico, both Vikram and Shriya were dressed as matadors.

Now, the makers of Kanthaswamy have decided to cash in on the item number frenzy in Indian films by roping in hot and sexy Mumaith Khan for a song. Moreover, it will also be a remix of an old hit (comedy actor Chandrababu’s ‘Pambarak Kannale Kadhal...’). Mumaith will shake a leg with Vikram in the song.

Kanthaswamy is directed by Susi Ganesan, who had earlier directed films like Virumbugiren, Thiruttu Payale and Five Star.

The film already has the very hot Shriya as heroine. With Mumaith also appearing in an item number song, there is no doubt that the screen will be scorched by these two beauties. With so much to expect from the film, it is no wonder audiences are eagerly waiting for it to release.
