Pooja’s mother’s day gift

Pooja’s presence at the Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers in Chennai turned out to be for the Mother’s Day celebration. The actress was in this popular jewelry showroom to pick out a gift for her mom. She picked up an exquisite platinum bracelet as the Mother’s Day gift for her mother Mrs. Umashankar.

On her gift, she said, “To a daughter, a mother is not just a mother but a friend and a guide for life. The relationship evolves and grows stronger over time. On this mother’s day, with this special platinum bracelet, I want to tell my mom that she is most precious to me.”

Pooja’s mother also gifted her daughter a platinum necklace.

Pooja denies wedding plans

Pooja, after her sensational performance in Bala’s Naan Kadavul, has been talking about doing more off-beat films. In an interview to a Tamil magazine she had even talked about her wedding plans and quitting films!

Now in a U-turn her publicist has said that she has no plans to get married and would continue doing films. Says Pooja: “ I was away in Bengaluru looking after my aged grand mother, when these rumours started that I have quit films. It is totally baseless as I will be starting the shoot of my next film in June. As of now watch out for my special appearance in Drohi.”

Pooja also made it clear that she has no plans to get married in the near future. Says Pooja: “Acting is my first love and passion. I have heard the script of a dozen films and will start work on two or three of them immediately.”

Pooja in ‘Avan Ivan’!

Rumour mills are working overtime in Kollywood saying Bala has roped in his ‘Naan Kadavul’ actress Pooja for his forthcoming venture ‘Avan Ivan’, which has Vishal and Arya in lead roles.

However, the actress is quick to deny it and says, “I have not been approached by Bala sir till now. There is no truth in reports that I am there in ‘Avan Ivan’.” Circles close to Pooja say she would however accept the offer if Bala wants her to be the part of the project.

“Because, ‘Naan Kadavul’ has established Pooja as a talented actress. Though she has acted in many films in Tamil, it was the Bala’s movie which earned her name and fame. So she is interested to work with Bala again,” they say.

Interestingly, ‘Avan Ivan’ would be the fifth film for Arya and Pooja together if she is roped in for the film produced by Kalpathi S Agoram. Their earlier films were are ‘Ullam Ketkume’, ‘Pattiyal’, ‘Oram Po’ and ‘Naan Kadavul’.
