Rajini’s daughters and Vijay met J Jayalalitha!

Shortly after Latha Rajinikanth issued a press statement refuting the wild rumors about her husband’s health and stating for the record that he was recovering nicely, his daughters, Aishwarya and Soundarya offered further assurance.

The two of them had gone to congratulate J Jayalalitha on her victory in the 2011 elections. To the huge throng of reporters gathered outside, they gave their reassurances about their father’s health and begged them to disregard the rumors. They also thanked them and the fans for their concern and prayers.

It has been reported that Vijay had also met the AIADMK Supremo to wish her all the best and congratulate on the astounding victory in the legislative assembly elections.

Thalaivar is not in any danger!

Aishwarya Dhanush addressed the press just now to disclose that Rajinikanth is alright. This news comes as a welcome respite to all Rajini fans who are eagerly waiting for the news on his health.

Aishwarya told the media that Rajini is doing good and he has suffered from allergic bronchitis. The doctors attending to him have said that he needs complete rest for the next several days. She also said that Rajini will join the Rana unit when the doctors give him the go ahead. She appealed to all fans to maintain calm as their Thalaivar is not in any danger.

Dhanush becomes dad again!

Dhanush is over the moon at becoming father for the second time.

His wife Aishwarya gave birth to a baby boy at a private hospital in Chennai today (June 21) at 6.21 in the morning.

“I never thought fatherhood the second time would be so special”, Dhanush’s voice brimmed over with paternal pride.

“Right now we haven’t thought of any particular name. We’re just so happy to see him healthy and happy. Both mom and the baby are fine. Aishwarya will be home in a day or two.”

This is the couple’s second son. Their first son, Yatra is three years old and has started going to kindergarten. Dhanush who was shooting in Chennai was by Aishwarya’s side during the delivery.

A function in Rajini’s house sans commotion

The Boss is always known for his simplicity and unfussiness. This quality of his was reiterated at a small function held recently. His grandson Yathra’s ear-piercing ceremony was held in Kasthuri Mangammal temple in Muthu Rengapuram village near Theni without any of the usual fan fare and hype that generally surrounds any event in a celebrity’s household. As is customary in some Hindu families to have the ear piercing ceremony in the patriarchal native village or temple, entire Kasthuri Raja’s family was present at the function.

This was completely a close knit family function and was attended by Kasthuri Raja and his wife, Selvaraghavan and Sonia and the proud parents Aishwarya and Dhanush. As grandfather Rajinikanth was busy with Endhiran, he was not able to be with his pet grandson. The caring grandpa that he is, Rajini did not fail to call his daughter to find out if the little boy cried during the ceremony or not. It was said that the family returned to Chennai soon after this.

Danush and his wife Aishwarya sing a Duet!

Actor Dhanush and his wife Aishwarya Rajinikanth have sung a duet for the actor’s brother, Selvaraghavan’s Aayirathil Oruvan.The movie has music by GV Prakash Kumar, and it is a duet that begins like Un mela aasai dhaan…., written by Vairamuthu.

Aayirathil Oruvan stars Karthi and Reema Sen, and has already made waves for its songs, including one in which Bombay Jayashree has sung along with yesteryear singer PB Srinivas. Then, there is a song which Shubha Mudgal has lent her voice for, besides the remix of the Aayirathil Oruvan number, Adho Andha Paravai Pola…..

Dhanush has sung earlier for Puthupettai, while Aishwarya has sung for Whistle. This is their first song together.
