Nakul and Shanthanoo in 2 Idiots!

Director KS Adhiyaman who has made family movies is now doing Nanba – 2 Idiots, with Nakul and Shanthanu.

 

It is obvious that he is trying to be one up on Shankar's  Nanban, the original remake of 3 Idiots!

Adhiyaman's Nanban is being made as a quickie about two college students who are academically poor and it is about their antics.

Nakul and Shanthanu will play the two idiots and has Nikisha Patel , Pawan Kalyan's Puli girl as the heroine.

In short Nanba is going to create confusion  among the audiences with Nanban, as Adhiyaman says he has already registered the title much earlier!

Nakul turns singer

Nakul sings a song for ‘Kandha Kottai’. The young actor, who is on high after success of ‘Kadhalil Vizhunthen’ and ‘Masilamani’, is shooting for ‘Kandha Kottai’ opposite Poorna. It is a romantic entertainer.

The movie has music by Dheena. Interestingly Nakul has sung a song ‘Aval Puruvathai Saithum...’ in his own voice for the album. Plans are on to shoot this song in Paris. The movie is directed by Sakthivel.

Says the actor, "I want to establish myself as an actor who can do varied roles. I want my films to be different from each other. This may sound clichéd to you. But the fact is so and you can feel this true in my upcoming movies."

Sunaina says that Nakulan is her good friend

Actress Sunaina says that Nakulan is her good friend. She said,” The films Kadhalil Vizhundhen and Masilamani in which I had acted has become hits. Now people have received me well. I have acted with Nakulan in these two films. Because of this there are were lot of rumors. He is only a good friend of mine. Somebody is spreading these unnecessary rumors about me.

I will be acting with a new face Sachin in a film titled Yaadhumagi. Balakumar is directing this film. I am doing the role of a village girl who comes to city and meets the hero. He is city bred. The story is about our romance and problems. Sachin is a quite person. I learned how to remain calm from him. I am acting wit new directors because I am getting offers from them only.”

Maasilamani: Made for each other

Masilamani Movie Gallery Love is an evergreen theme, and to watch it enacted by two of the hottest stars today, with a suspected real life relationship between them, makes ’Maasilamani’ a must watch. The film, released by Sun Pictures, is all set to hit screens tomorrow. If music by Dhina is already topping the charts, the chemistry between the duo is said to make people watch the movie again. Nakul injured, shoot called off

Nakul, the dance sensation who is still synonymous with the “Naaka Mukka” number, has injured himself during the shoot of his next film, ’Kandha Kottai’. The movie has Nakul and Poorna in the lead and shooting has been going on in Madhavaram, in Chennai, for a few days now. A fight sequence was canned and the actor, it is reported, had very dangerous stunts sequences to do, and he was all game for such stunts. The actor, despite being the brother of a popular star Devayani, has completely worked by himself for his success, and is always found wanting to walk the extra mile. This scene required him to break the front glass of a lorry and he had to swing on a rope as he did this.

The actor, unfortunately, lost his balance and fell off the ground. This severely injured his knee after which he was rushed to a hospital. Doctors said there was nothing dangerous and yet advised three days rest for the actor. Shooting for the film will resume soon in the same location.

Soundarya Rajini's association with Nakul

Soundarya Rajinikanth is making waves in the film industry with diverse projects in film making. Her animation film ‘Sultan the warrior’ on her dad will soon be ready. Currently she is producing Venkat Prabhu’s Goa. Now, the latest update from her Ochre studios reveals that she will be making a film with Kaadhalil Vizhunden Nakul in the lead role directed by Hosimin, an assistant director who had worked with Shankar in Sivaji.

It has been said that she and Nakul had studied together at Ashram school and are good buddies. This association seems to have helped her rope in the young hero in her project. When Hosimin recently narrated a story it has impressed the younger daughter of the Boss. She had immediately called Nakul and after narrating the story to him has obtained his consent to feature in Hosimin’s film as hero. School connections do help in some cases after all!

Nakul and Sunaina together again

AGS Entertainment, which has rendered blockbusters including ’Thiruttu Payalae’ and the ’Jayam’ Ravi starrer ’Santhosh Subramaniyam’, will be commencing their next film titled ’Masilamani’ soon.

The movie brings together the success couple Nakul and Sunaina together again. The two had teamed up to render a hit in ’Kadhalil Vizhunthein’. R N R Manohar has penned the story, screenplay, dialogues and will be directing ’Masilamani’.

Santhanam, Srinath, Delhi Ganesh and Meera Krishnan are also in the cast. D Imman scores the music, while cinematography is by Vettri.

Says Manohar, ’ it is about a poor young boy falling in love with a rich girl. She learns Bharathanatyam in Kalakshetra. The innovative way he adopts to win over her heart forms the crux’.

Nakul in Devayani production

After the resounding success of Nakul with the film ’Kathalil Vizhunden’, producers are forming a beeline to cast the young hero in their films. One among the producers is Devayani, sister of Nakul. It is known that Devayani who fell in love with director Rajakumaran and married him much against the wishes of her parents was disowned by them. However, her brother Nakul was in constant touch with the couple visiting them often.

Nakul’s recognition as an actor to reckon with has pleased Devayani and her husband immensely. Devayani has gone on to announce that she would venture to make a film that will star her kid brother and directed by her husband. However information as to when the project would start is not clear.

Thanks to the aggressive promotion by Sun Network and the racy number ’Naaku Mukka’, the film was successful in garnering wide publicity that translated itself to expectations. The film is doing very well at the box office.Nakul has become a welcome addition to the list of numerous young heroes who have made their foray into Tamil films recently.
