This time Ahmed (of Vamanan fame) will direct Jiiva in a romantic musical. Harris Jayaraj is likely to be the music director. Ko creates waves in Simbu's fans page

Jiiva's Ko, which has opened to great appreciation worldwide, has created some waves in Simbu's Facebook fans page. Not many know that Simbu was Anand's first choice for Ko. Some felt that the film had a political dimension to it which would not suit their hero while others felt that Simbu has missed a golden opportunity to work with K.V. Anand. Interesting, the page received more than 100 messages within a few hours after the release of Ko. But this has not gone well with Simbu; he immediately reacted, "Doing a movie and not doing it is an actor's personal choice. I welcome your comments and at the same time I don't want anyone to talk bad about other films in my page... I am from the same industry and i respect cinema and want all movies to do well for our industry."

Vijay, Dhanush, Aarya on-screen for a particular ‘special song’

Leading actors Vijay, Dhanush, Aarya and four other artistes would be seen on-screen for a particular ‘special song’ in cinematographer-turned-director K.V Anand’s upcoming film ‘Ko’, which stars Jiiva & Karthika in the lead and has been in the making for quite some time now. The film’s shooting had been held in many European countries including Norway.

Vijay-Dhanush-Aarya

Anand, whose last film ‘Ayan’ starring Suriya & Tamannaah broke many box-office records, is planning to film a song for the film in which leading actors and actresses of the Tamil film industry might be seen. Sources close to the burly filmmaker say that he has been in touch with the stars he intends to rope in for a song in the film.

In Bollywood movies, songs featuring multiple stars isn’t a rarity. In superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Naseeb’ which released in the mid-eighties, legends like Raj Kapoor, Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra and Shammi Kapoor featured in a song sequence. The same was the case with contemporary actress Deepika Padukone’s debut film ‘Om Shanti Om’ which released a couple of years back and had a song featuring the 70-plus Dharmendra, Hrithik Roshan, Govinda, Priyanka Chopra and Kajol Devgn.

Efforts were made in the past in Kollywood to bring together leading stars for a single song but in vain. The song that Anand has in mind is likely to feature Suriya, Vijay, Aarya, ‘Jeyam’ Ravi, Bharath, Dhanush and Jiiva, the hero of the film. Talks are reportedly going on between Anand and the concerned heroes and some heroines in Tamannaah, Shriya Saran and Poonam Bajwa.
