Rajinikanth’s ‘Endhiran’ releases in Fiji Islands

The fine run of ‘Endhiran’ is not over yet. The trumpet blast over the film released in October is still heard loud and of late in Fiji Islands.

An Indo-UK based production house High Ground Enterprise has released the Hindi version of ‘Endhiran’ ‘Robot’ in the Fiji Islands. The film was released to full houses in four theatres, they said.

The Fiji Islands, situated to the east of New Zealand, have a significant population of Indian origin consisting of ethnic Tamilians and mainly North Indians.

High Ground has stated that the local government authorities were present at the first show of the movie to show their support and appreciation.

Endhiran broken all records in India!

Finally, the Superstar of Kollywood is back on screen after three years with Shankar's Enthiran, a true treat for frenzied fans of action. And with this, Rajni is all set to create history in the Indian box office. According to sources, Enthiran (along with the Telugu and Hindi versions) has broken all records in India by earning a staggering Rs. 100 crore in its opening weekend, which includes the overseas collection. There are even reports that scalpers were selling tickets for a whopping Rs.5,000 in Chennai.

Finally Aishwarya to become a member

The final warning call of Nadigar Sangam to the actors who were not members of the association that they will not be able to work in Tamil films  if they don’t become a member by August 15 has been taken seriously by the artistes this time.

As the young stars realised the association meant business this time hurriedly applied and became members. 'Angadi Theru' Magesh, 'Kalavani' Vimal, Genelia, Hansika Motwani, Sameera Reddy and many others have become members for the first time. So far 32 new members have been added to Nadigar Sangam

But all eyes were on Aishwarya who has been doing only the biggest of the biggest Tamil film at a time. Even Radha Ravi publicly requested her to become a member of Nadigar Sangam at the Endhiran audio launch in Malaysia. But even after the deadline of August 15 passed there was no word from Aishwarya.

But when we enquired some sources they said Aishwarya has agreed to become a member and has requested to send in the application to Mumbai and she will submit it at the Nadigar Sangam office when she is in Chennai next.

Endhiran’s release date confirmed!

The most-expected film of the year – Endhiran – is complete. The shooting was completely wrapped up on July 8th. To celebrate this, a bash was arranged in which Rajinikanth, his daughter Soundarya, Aishwarya Rai and the entire Shankar team participated.

With the shooting over, the talks now doing rounds in Kollywood is the release date of Endhiran. While some sources say that it could be released on August 15, other sources point out that it may hit the screens on September 5th.

It is well-known in the film industry circles that Shankar is a strong believer in numerology and his wrapping up of Endhiran on July 8th stands testimony to this. Going by this, the film may be released on September 5th, as the number added with the month and year sums up to 8.

Aishwarya Rai upset due to raavan?

All is not well with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, so to say. The actress, according to reports, is upset thanks to the response to her film ‘Raavan’ and the controversy surrounding it ever since the Mani Ratnam movie hit the screens more than a week ago.

“It is to be noted that Ash has not made any public appearance after the film and her PR machinery has been asked to remain silent regarding her whereabouts. This is to avoid any uncomfortable questions from the media,” a source reportedly said.

“The former Miss World was extremely excited before the release of the film since she played the heroine in both Hindi and Tamil versions. Ash thought that she and her husband Abhishek would win accolades from all quarters. But the output was different and this has depressed her a lot,” the source added.

Amitabh Bachchan himself is not happy about the film and he wrote on his blog taking a dig at the editing process. “Lot of merited film edited out, causing inconsistent performance and narrative. Abhishek's erratic behaviour was due to symbolic 10 heads visually appearing and each giving him different attitudes to adopt for a situation, he would then finally shake them off and decide,” he said.

The premiere of the Hindi Raavan in London on Wednesday night was a glitzy affair, with the entire crew attending it along with celebrity guests like Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.

Meanwhile Madras Talkies the producers of the film who refused to have a press screening of the film so far, held back to back shows at a preview theatre for select VIP’s and Kollywood people.

Today (June 17) evening they are holding a charity show of the film in Chennai.

The biggest movie of this year 'Endhiran' is moving as per schedule and will release this year. Shankar was shooting in Perungudi area in Chennai for the last two days to complete the final patch work. Rajinikanth and Danny Denzongpa participated.

This few days work created a flutter among the fans and made people wonder when it is said all is over for ‘Endhiran’ and why the shooting is still continuing. Queries poured into Shankar's office the air war cleared by Shankar.

Shankar said the film is well over and will release within this year as planned and aid before. ‘Endhiran’ is the first direct production of Sun pictures.

Vikram and Aishwarya Rai had great escape!

A fight sequence for the Mani Ratnam-directed Ravan involving Vikram and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was being filmed in a location near Mumbai when a bomb hurled exploded very close to the stars. The plan was to have the bomb explode in mid air, but unfortunately, it exploded near Vikram and Ash. The fight was choreographed by Shyam Koushik. He said that the mishap was due to improper timing.

‘Endhiran’ in 3D

Yes. Director Shankar is planning a 3D version of the magnum opus ‘Endhiran’ to pre-empt any piracy attempt.

After the unpleasant episode in ‘Jaggubhai’, where the full length film was leaked on the internet even before it came out of the processing lab, Shankar is trying each and every way to plug the holes. Today all major films are happening under strict vigilance by competent persons. Mani Ratnam has appointed managers at each point where the works for ‘Raavan’ is happening.

So in a no holds barred attempt to make the audience watch ‘Endhiran’ only at theaters, Shankar is even contemplating to convert a part of ‘Endhiran’ film into a 3D version. He has already started consultations to this effect with the experts on the economics of converting the film into a 3D film.

The demo version of ‘Endhiran’ in 3D was shown to Shankar by an effects company and he is awfully impressed with the result. So the chances to see ‘Endhiran’ wearing the 3D spectacles are great.

Rajini’s 'Endhiran’ will overshadow ‘Murattu Kaalai’

Though Superstar Rajnikanth has been well known for his astounding action sequences in almost all his films. But ‘Murattu Kaalai’ has been considered as the best one in his entire career as the stunts were so naturalistic and outmatched every films.

But now director Shankar assures that Rajnikanth’s stunt sequences in ‘Endhiran’ will overshadow ‘Murattu Kaalai’ itself. Director Shankar had recently shot a stunt sequence across the moving train on a exotic hill station. Usually, such sequences are canned across Ooty train passages, but this time the filmmaker has opted for Konkan Railways and felt more difficult to obtain permission from Central Railways Department.

Finally, after affording big sum, the crew could somehow make it happen and the stunt shots have been brilliantly performed by Rajnikanth. This will be one of the best highlighting features in this film.

‘Endhiran’ 90% Completion

It’s official that 90 percent of ‘Endhiran’ is complete and the film will soon hit the screen. Also we have some news on ‘Endhiran’ previously unheard. Though the stills released or leaked so far didn’t give a clue to the film we come to know that it will be a treat to all fans with Rajini doing two things he knows best. Comedy and action.

The first part is said to be very humorous in the inimitable Rajini style. Santhanam gives company to Rajini in ‘Endhiran’ the way Vivek did in ‘Sivaji’. Punch dialogues are left to Santhanam as in ‘Sivaji’. So expect some clean high class hilarious moments. And we know how good the super star is in comedy scenes. If the first half is light the second half will compensate for it with pulsating actions. ‘Endhiran’ is going to be a wholesome entertainer.

Also the new young look of the Super Star is making news. The latest pictures released show Rajini and Aishwarya in vibrant costumes with the help of Hollywood technicians who worked for films like ‘Batman Returns’ and ‘Men In Black’. It is thrilling to see an absolutely handsome Rajini as we have seen in films like ‘Gayatri’ and ‘Billa’ in those days. Two songs were picturised in never been to locations in Hawaii Islands and Brazil.

‘Endhiran’ film has strengthened the relationship of Rajini and Shankar much stronger. It has moved beyond Actor-Director levels, one reason could be the similarity between them.

Shankar also has deviated from a usual Rajini film happening with ‘Endhiran’. Usually all Rajini films in recent times were shot either out of Tamil Nadu or overseas. But to the joy of Rajini fans Shankar shot a lot of portions in and around Chennai.

Aishwarya Takes Karate Classes

She already knows how to wield a sword and ride a horse. Now Aishwarya Rai is taking karate classes for her role in the Tamil sci-fi thriller Endhiran , starring Rajnikant as male lead.

The movie has a few fight sequences in which Ash is pitted against the style guru Rajnikant. And to be able to unleash the best kicks and karate-chops on the veteran, Ash is said to taking lessons in the marital art from a seasoned stuntman down south. Reports say the stuntman, named Ramesh, runs a Japanese Shito-Ryu karate school where Ash has enrolled.

In ‘Endhiran’, Rajnikant reportedly plays Ash’s teacher and love interest. In one scene he challenges her for a hand-to-hand combat. And her character takes up the gauntlet and gives a tough fight to him.

In the past, Ash has shown her derring-do in films like Dhoom 2 and ‘The Last Legion’. She also did the highly risky sword-fight sequences in ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ herself.

Aishwarya may be denying all the time that she really isn’t playing Sita in Mani Ratnam’s ’Raavana’, but her look in the film definitely suggests that. The director reportedly has insisted that the actress act without makeup in the film. He is trying to make Aishwarya look sad and sullen, say sources close to the crew. In fact, the actress had also corroborated this, by stating there were scenes in which she was asked to remove all makeup.
She even stated that in a few scenes she tried dabbling makeup without his knowledge, which he detected very easily and made her remove on the sets. So this will be a treat for Ash fans across the world to see, with the actress looking her natural best. The green-eyed beauty, will finally look her age in the film, which is slated for a 2010 release. Unofficial reports say this will be among her last few films, apart from ’Endhiran’, after which she and hubby Abbi are planning on having a baby.
