Rana press meet pictures

The Rana team held its first press meet in Chennai on Friday, April 29 evening at a popular five star. The press meet was to introduce Deepika Padukone and give a brief on the film.

KS Ravikumar, the director of Rana said: "First and foremost Rana is an all new film. It has nothing to do with Sultan. When Rajini sir narrated the story, I got hooked to it and realised it has all
ingredients for a mass movie."

Ravikumar added that the film is a complete period drama that takes place in the 17th century. The shoot of the film has started on a huge set put up at AVM Studios.

Ravikumar has started the shoot with a song picturisation on Deepika Padukone. The song sung by Chinmayi and Sreenivas has been tuned by AR Rahman.

Deepika Padukone said at the press meet: " It is much more than a dream to be paired opposite Rajini sir. Such opportunities come only once in a lifetime."
