Superstar visits Kalikambal temple for blessings

34386ddb-d1a6-4bfc-812a-51dc6533e991OtherImageWhatever the superstar does makes news: be it his voting ‘style’, his going to the temple to offer prayers, etc.  Rajni visited the famous Kalikambal Temple on Saturday to offer ‘special prayers’ amid rumours that it was to seek the Goddess’ blessings for his  upcoming film ‘Rana’

Rajini and many Kollywood actors/actresses pay regular visits to the Kalikambal Temple situated at Parry’s Corner in the city.  Readers may recall that many sequences in his film ‘Baba’ were shown to be happening in and around this Temple, including the climax song ‘Sakthi Kodu…’.

The Temple has a rich tradition, with archaeological records stating that the great Marathi Emperor Shivaji had once visited this Temple and offered worship after placing his temple at the sanctum sanctorum.  After offering ‘special prayers’, a devotion-personified Rajini was spotted worshipping the Goddess.  After going around the Temple a few times, he left the place.

Rajni usually doesn’t involve in any major project before worshipping the Almighty and his spirital Gurus.  This has been his routine for the past many years.  In thisbackdrop, it is rumoured that Rajni’s visit and worship of the Goddess was to seek ‘celestial blessings’ to the commencement of the shooting of ‘Rana’ in a week’s time from now!

Some felt that the film had a political dimension to it which would not suit their hero while others felt that Simbu has missed a golden opportunity to work with K.V. Anand. Interesting, the page received more than 100 messages within a few hours after the release of Ko. But this has not gone well with Simbu; he immediately reacted, "Doing a movie and not doing it is an actor's personal choice. Why Trisha loves remakes

Trisha's recently Telugu release Teen Maar (TM), remake of Hindi blockbuster Love Aaj Kal, has given her a much-needed hit. But the actress gives all credit to Jayanth and Pawan Kalyan for making it a hit. Interestingly, Love Aaj Kal is one of her favourite films and she has seen the film a dozen times on DVD. Well, that brings us to another important conclusion; remakes have always worked well for her. According to her, remakes are a safe bet, though they are challenging. She also feels that a remake works best when nativity and flavour are added to suit the taste of its target audiences.

Coincidentally, Trisha will soon start shooting for another remake. This time, it is for the remake of Siddique's Malayalam hit Bodyguard in Telugu with Venkatesh in the lead role.
